I recently invested in the services of a Pinterest VA, and honestly, it’s been one of the best business decisions I have made! Not only has it saved me plenty of time to focus on other areas of my business, I have the support of one amazing human, Hannah Murphy.
Not only is Hannah a COMPLETE BOSS at Pinterest management, she also specialises in systems and productivity – amazing right? Today I sat down with Hannah to talk through her experiences as a VA, her challenges, and what she’s learnt so far.
Hi Hannah! Could you tell me a bit about why you started your business and what the initial vision was?
I started my business because I loved the idea of business and helping other women in business. My initial vision was to just have it as a side thing while I completed my university degree… however the more and more I do it, the more and more I fall in love with business!
Have you faced any challenges along the way? What was this like for you?
A LOT! I’m pretty sure that there isn’t any business owner who has had the perfect ride. For me, I faced challenges around limiting mindsets, crafting offers that sell, and learning to work from home with limited business knowledge. I found it hard to begin with, yet now whenever I’m faced with a challenge, while still hard, I take it more as a learning opportunity then I did in the begin phases of my business.
How did you overcome these challenges?
Three things really helped me:
What is it that you enjoy the most about what you do?
I love seeing people reduce their business overwhelm and being able to play a part in that brings me so much joy.
If you could give women in business one piece of advice, what would that be?
There are so many pieces of advice I could give that I learnt along the way but I think one of the biggest was under promise and over deliver. Go above and beyond for your clients and your community by serving beyond what they expected.
