As Ruby Dee says “The greatest gift is not being afraid to question.”
The ending stages of the design process is one of the most important stages. This is a place where after revisions are completed you are able to ask any further questions of your designer.
I encourage my clients to ask questions because while I can help brand your business, you are the one carrying this brand forward. I believe there is no such thing as a silly question. So let’s dive in!
Here are 3 questions to ask your designer when your project is complete:
1. Do I have enough training in how to use the design assets?
While the creations of your branding may look pretty, if you don’t know how to use them in the correct way, you won’t be able to use the design assets to the best of their ability. You want to leave with your designs CONFIDENT you know how to apply them in your business.
2. What additional support packages or extra packages are available moving forward?
For example, if your designer creates a website for you, do they provide support packages moving forward if you have any tech questions? Another common add on that is worth asking about is once they have created a branding kit, do they provide the add on of creating social media graphics?
3. Who else they recommend for other services
The best source of finding people you can trust is through word of mouth. It’s worth asking your designer who they recommend for others services such as copywriting, virtual assistance, SEO, social media marketing and so on.
